We are delighted to have been recognised with two major awards at the Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC) Fresh Awards 2026, winning Best Place to Work and Fresh Produce Business of the Year.
Organised by the Fresh Produce Consortium, the FPC Fresh Awards celebrate excellence across the fresh produce, cut flower and plant industries. They recognise outstanding businesses, people, innovation and achievements across the sector.
Best Place to Work
Winning Best Place to Work, sponsored by Freeths, recognises our continued commitment to our people, from seasonal colleagues who join us each year to employees building long-term careers with us.
The judges said: “Hall Hunter is not simply a company that says it is a great place to work – its people, its investment, and its results prove it. From above-average employee engagement to an impressive seasonal worker return rate, the business has proudly created a remarkable people-focused culture.”

Fresh Produce Business of the Year
We were also named Fresh Produce Business of the Year, sponsored by CHEP. This award recognises achievements across the whole business and our continued investment in the future of British berry production.
What makes this award particularly special is that the winner is selected from the winners of all the other categories, making it the overall recognition of excellence on the night.
Nigel Jenney, Chief Executive of the Fresh Produce Consortium, said: “Hall Hunter Partnership’s achievement is impressive because its progress reaches across the whole business. It is developing its people, finding new ways to grow and harvest, and investing in the future of British berries. The judges saw a business setting a high standard for the industry, and I am delighted to see that recognised.”

A shared achievement
The standard across this year’s awards was extremely high, and we were honoured to be recognised alongside so many respected and successful businesses from across the industry. This makes receiving these two awards even more special for us.
We are extremely proud of this achievement and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone across the business whose hard work, care and commitment made it possible. We would also like to thank the Fresh Produce Consortium, the judges and the category sponsors.
